稲垣史生氏（JAMSTEC高知コア研究所）の2015年米国地球物理学連合（AGU）「平朝彦国際深海科学掘削研究賞」（The Asahiko Taira International Scientific Ocean Drilling Research Prize：略称The Taira Prize）受賞に伴い，受賞記念講演が行われます．稲垣氏はTaira Prize設立最初の受賞者です．
本賞は，海洋掘削科学を通じた分野横断的研究における優れた業績や貢献が認められた若手・中堅研究者を対象に贈られるものです．
